Our story
The story of Sol e Mar began long before the first campervan was built. Founded by a passionate traveller, photographer and filmmaker, the company was shaped by years spent exploring the world and a lifelong fascination with design, engineering and craftsmanship.
Following a cancer diagnosis, a period of reflection reinforced the importance of pursuing what truly inspires us. During a road trip through Europe, the vision for Sol e Mar took shape, bringing together two lifelong passions: travel and camper vans. What had once been a dream became a mission to create beautifully crafted vans that help others experience a sense of freedom, adventure and connection.
Inspired by the Portuguese spirit embodied in our name, every conversion is designed to encourage a slower pace, a greater sense of freedom and a deeper appreciation for the journey itself. It's this philosophy that guides everything we build today.
